Perfo

Privacy Policy

Effective October 10, 2026

The short version

  • Perfo has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your photos, stamps, notes and boards are stored only on your device.
  • Location is optional. When you turn it on, it is used to print the place on your stamp and is saved only with that stamp, on your device.
  • We use Google Firebase to collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports. These never include your photos, notes or location.
  • We don't sell your data, and the app shows no ads.

This policy explains what information the Perfo mobile app ("Perfo", "the app") handles, why, and the choices you have. Perfo is published by Amote ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Information that stays on your device

The core of Perfo works entirely offline. The following is created and stored only in the app's private storage on your phone:

  • Photos and stamps. Photos you take with the in-app camera or pick from your gallery, and the stamp images Perfo makes from them.
  • Stamp details. The date and time, the place name and GPS coordinates (if you turned location on), the frame style and any note you write.
  • Boards. The boards you create, their names, and how stamps are arranged on them.

We have no access to this content. It is never uploaded to us.

2. Permissions the app asks for

PermissionWhy we need itRequired?
CameraTo take the photo that becomes a stamp.Only to use the in-app camera. You can pick existing photos instead.
Location (precise or approximate)To print the city and coordinates on a stamp.No. Stamps work without it and show the date only.
Photos / storage (Android 9 and older)To save a stamp or board to your gallery when you tap Save.Only when saving to the gallery on older Android versions.
InternetTo look up place names and to send anonymous analytics and crash reports.Granted automatically by Android.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your phone's Settings > Apps > Perfo > Permissions.

3. Location

When location is on, Perfo reads your device's position through Google Play services and turns the coordinates into a readable place name (for example "Hanoi, Vietnam") using Android's built-in geocoder. To do that, Android may send the coordinates to Google's location services; that exchange is handled by your device and governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by us.

The place and coordinates are saved only with the stamp, on your device. We never receive your location, and the app does not track you in the background — location is read only while the camera screen is open.

You can turn location off for any single stamp with the switch on the new-stamp screen, or deny the permission altogether.

4. Analytics and crash reports

To understand which features are used and to fix bugs, Perfo uses two Google services:

  • Firebase Analytics records app events such as "stamp saved", "frame style changed" or "board shared", with simple details like the frame style chosen, how many stamps were added, or whether a stamp included a location (yes or no — never the location itself). Google also collects standard device information such as device model, OS version, app version, country-level region, an app-instance identifier and, where allowed by your device settings, the advertising ID.
  • Firebase Crashlytics records crash and error reports: the technical stack trace, device model, OS version, app version and the steps the app was taking just before the problem.

These reports never include your photos, stamp images, notes, board names, place names or coordinates. We use this data only to improve Perfo. We don't use it to advertise to you and we don't sell it.

This data is processed by Google LLC under the Firebase privacy terms. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months; crash reports for up to 90 days.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalisation in your phone's Settings > Google > Ads (or Settings > Privacy > Ads, depending on your device).

5. Sharing and saving

When you tap Share, Perfo hands a copy of the stamp or board image to the app you pick through Android's share sheet. What happens next is governed by that app's own privacy policy. When you tap Save, the image is written to your phone's gallery in the Pictures/Perfo folder, where other apps with gallery access can see it.

Saved and shared images contain what you can see on the stamp — including the place name if location was on. Turn location off for a stamp if you don't want the place to appear.

6. Backups

If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include Perfo's app data in your device backup, which Google stores encrypted in your Google account. This is controlled by your device settings, not by us, and we can't access those backups.

7. How long we keep data and how to delete it

  • Delete a single stamp from the album menu. It is also removed from every board.
  • Delete a board from the boards screen.
  • Uninstall Perfo, or clear its storage in Settings > Apps > Perfo > Storage, to erase everything the app stored on your device. Images you saved to your gallery or shared to other apps stay there until you delete them.

Because we don't hold your content, there is no copy for us to delete. For analytics or crash data linked to your app installation, contact us and we'll help with a deletion request to Google.

8. Children

Perfo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will help remove it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the CCPA in California, or Vietnam's Decree 13/2023 on personal data protection), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Since most data never leaves your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the app. For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

10. Security

Your content is kept in Perfo's private app storage, which other apps can't read. Data sent to Firebase travels over encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so please keep your phone protected with a screen lock.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how Perfo handles data, we'll update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes we'll also let you know in the app or on the Google Play listing.
